Ch Syralette Amethyst

Amy is a cat with serious cattitude.  Inquisitive, mischievous and totally beguiling, she loves everybody and everybody loves her.  She poses for photos like a diva and tries to get in on the act when it's someone else's turn.  She's a real cuddle cat and our newest show girl.  She became a Champion after winning 3 CC's (Challenge Certificates) in three consecutive shows and then she was awarded her first Grand CC at the next show.  As she is not yet two we feel that she needs a bit more time to mature a bit before she can really compete at Grand Champion level so she will take a break from showing and hopefully have some babies in the not too distant future. Updates on this will be posted on our blog - Latest Kitten News.

1st Open CC- Best of Breed - Nominated for Best in Show

A very pretty girl of excellent ethereal appearance. Barely adult showing very good development, balance and type. Medium head with corresponding nose which shows correct slight profile dip. Level bite and with a firm and tapering chin. Medium ears which at present she holds slightly upwards. Almost round eyes with the desired gentle expression being of an even blue colour. Firm, adolescent and feminine body with medium, sturdy legs and well balanced bushy tail. Clear, sparkling and full coat with ruff well through. Nicely curled fur on the abdomen. Clear pale magnolia coat colour with pale pink/grey points. Almost matching, immaculate feet. Excellent temperament, condition and preparation.

An extremely attractive female, of very pleasing type and size, albeit she is still looking a tad immature at just eighteen months old.   Nicely placed medium sized ears, medium length nose with slight dip to the profile.   She has wonderfully expressive deep blue eyes.   Pristine white feet, front gloves are even, gauntlets almost match, the left is very slightly longer and her left sock is slightly higher than the right.   She has wonderful weight for a female, really solid structure with proportionate limbs and bushy tail.   Her coat is presented to perfection, although it is quite short at the moment, and she really needs her ruff to develop to frame the head.   The coat is palest magnolia in colour, contrasting delicately with her delicate lilac points.   I must admit that I deliberated long and hard about awarding the certificate today, because of her lack of coat and immaturity, but on balance I decided it was not her fault she was only eighteen months old, nor is it to be expected that a Birman will have a full coat all year round.   I felt it would be both unjustifiable and unduly harsh to penalise her without a specific withholding fault!!

Lilac Point. A gentle girl who was easy to handle. This eighteen month old had a lovely body length and was well muscled with nicely boned legs and short strong paws. In comparison to her body, I felt that at the moment, her head is not quite in balance, appearing a little on the smaller side. Quite a broad head, nicely rounded with full round cheeks tapering to the muzzle. Ears were set quite wide apart, medium/large in size.   Medium shade of blue to the large eyes. Slight dip to the medium length nose. Full chin, though could be a little firmer. Well balanced tail which was very well furnished and bushy. She is currently between coats, ruff on the shorter side, coat is longer down the body and it had a good silky texture. Very good contrast between the off-white body and the pinkish-grey points. Rounded shape to gloves, well marked socks and very nice shape to full gauntlets. They tapered well, ending about three-quarters of the way up to the hocks. Very well groomed for the show and I feel that she will look much more balanced once her coat lengthens and her ruff develops.
