Cats Sleep Anywhere

Cats sleep anywhere,
Any table, any chair.
Top of piano, window-ledge,
In the middle, on the edge.
Open drawer, empty shoe,
Anybody's lap will do.
Fitted in a cardboard box,
In the cupboard with your frocks.
Anywhere! They don't care!
Cats sleep anywhere.

Welfare & Rescue

  • We also have a 'safe house', provided by the Birman Cat Club Welfare & Rescue, at the bottom of our garden.  This provides a temporary safe haven for Birmans who need to be rehomed for a variety of reasons.

  • The Birman Cat Club offers a countrywide rescue and rehoming service, run entirely by dedicated volunteers, via their website www.birmancatclub.co.uk and welcomes enquiries from people willing to offer a loving home to an older, less fortunate Birman.

  • I am also Hon Secretary for the Northern Birman Cat Club.

About Syralette Birmans

Hi - I'm Sue Attley and I live with my husband Ron and our six gorgeous Birman cats, in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.  We have been breeding these lovely, gentle cats since 1988 when I first became captivated by those beautiful blue eyes.  I still look forward to each new litter of kittens and to the joy of watching them grow from helpless babies into cute, fluffy bundles of mischief.  I love to share my passion with prospective new owners so that I can enjoy their anticipation and their delight when we deliver their new baby to them, and I have the satisfaction of knowing they have had the best possible start in life.

All our kittens are raised in our large conservatory where they can grow and play in fresh air and sunshine (or quite often with the patter of rain on the roof), protected until they reach six weeks of age, when they expand their horizons and take over the house, exploring every nook and cranny in their search for mischief!  The babies are gently handled and loved from day one and a lot of time is given to socialising and play, lap training and cuddles so that they grow to be trusting and confident with people before they go to their new homes.

Our cats are all pampered pets and we remain as small hobby breeders, with just four breeding queens. We try to restrict our girls to having one litter of kittens each per year, but sometimes they have other ideas, especially Truffle, our lovely chocolate tabby, who just loves being a Mum!  If she hasn't got any babies of her own, she tries to steal someone else's to wash.

About Syralette Kittens

All Syralette Birman babies leave us at thirteen weeks of age fully vaccinated against cat flu, enteritis and chlamydia.  They have a certified five generation pedigree and are registered with the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF), the main governing body.   They are vet checked and guaranteed free from worms and parasites and we give 4 weeks free insurance with PetPlan, plus a little goodie bag with favourite toys, food and a little blanket that smells of Mum to help them settle in their new home.  We encourage all new owners to keep in touch and we are always on hand to offer any help and guidance we can while your new baby settles in.  In addition to all this we provide a comprehensive 'operating instructions' sheet, with suggestions for all you need to buy for the new addition, with a suggested diet sheet and other useful hints and tips.  They are fully housetrained well before they leave us.

We also like nothing better than to receive the occasional update, especially with photos, so that we can watch our kittens grow into beautiful adult cats.

If you would like to offer a permanent, loving home to one of our babies then please contact us, but be prepared to answer a few searching questions as we take great care to select only the very best homes for our kittens.  We never sell kittens into homes where there is no-one at home during the day, unless you have other pets to keep them company, or you take two kittens together, as it's not fair to leave a small kitten alone all day with no stimulation or affection.  We are also cautious about letting kittens go to a home with very young children as babies can sometimes be allergic to cat fur and it's always the cat that has to go if this happens!
